Would it be safe to drive it to a mechanic so the extesion housing can be removed and retrieve the drive? Also can someone tell what the different colors mean with the nylon drive, transmission trimatic. Many Thanks

I drove around in a HQ with a trimatic and i found a peice of rag stuck in the extension housing along with a metal clip and it never hurt it

The hook breaks off and the drive slides along the shaft allowing the cable drive

All is well. I just cant believe that the drive fell into the housing, again thankyou.
