Hi all, I am looking for anyone that has an early HQ GTS 140mph speedo that is broken or not working that they would sell to me. I only need the face and the needle with the black disc on it..IE a correct GTS speedo.

So far I have bought 4 HQ GTS dashes and only one has come with a correct 140mph speedo but the seller ripped me and changed the needle for a standard one. He reckons the disc must have fallen off as the speedo didn't have a lens on it. Almost believable except the needles are different shapes....

Any help much appreciated.

I have re-built the HQ speedo above and also the following.

HT GTS Monaro speedo

HX GTS Monaro speedo

Looks like I need to polish the plastic lens a little more, missed a few scratches.

EH speedo and gauges

All have been fully cleaned, any worn parts replaced and then re-calibrated.

Yes, stupid prices considering most of them are worn out and most have broken mounting tabs. All four HQ speedos I have needed rebuilding. By the time you spend $200 having it rebuilt and calibrated and another $60 or so for new plastic lenses they arent

Hi John, yes I know the cases are the same but you still need to buy a standard speedo with a good case and lense for a donor unless you happen to have one lying around.

I use NOVUS 3 stage plastic polish. No. 3 is heavy scratch remover, No. 2 is fine

Well, I fixed my needle problem by modifying a HX GTS speedo needle. HQ GTS speedo came up real nice now fully rebuilt, calibrated and original lens polished up. Almost looks new.
