If the figures you are talking about are serious youll kill clutches and probably gearboxes. A manual car with that much hp would be pretty scary.

yes i know. are there anyclutches availible that will hold that sort of power? doesn't really matter, as that is a couple of years away.

With my clutch, I got a 3400 lb diaphragm fitted to a standard pressure plate and got a heavy duty clutch plate. I believe higher pressure diaphrams are available. Most clutch specialist should be able to do this for you. If this doesn't handle the torque

The only thing close to the HP specs your quoting that Ive seen is the C6 Callaway Corvette. Twin turbo, fuel injected, 5.7 ltr with 6 Speed manual trans. 880 HP.

With the turbos bolted on each side, the engine is wider than it is long, so I cant see

no. 'just' a holden V8. stroker, forged rods and pistons, twin GT42 garrett ball bearing turbos. should make 900hp pretty easily. i can show a VN making more with smaller turbos if you like. street driven of course.

How reliable will it be? I know some engines become expensive grenades.

Like byron said Th400 is a good choice. You can burnout and the car changes gears all the way to top.

Cruisy to drive and strong. Manuals dropping the clutch breaks stuff more o
