hey ive just finished wiring up my 307 chev motor, i wasnt 100% with my dissy placing , but the thing starts and runs , just .... should be able to fine tune with a timing light. yes/no

just to confirm does someone know the cylinder numbers , my hk repair book showed 2 diagrams with complete opposite piston numbering , one with the 1st piston on the front left and the other on the front right.

and finally and most important , is there a good way i can tell if ive got some good oil pressure , i got the motor second hand and it has no oil through it , ive connected up my oil pressure light , and it stays on , but i was thinking maybe it takes some time to build up pressure. also took rocker cover off and no oil is showing.
although probably only run the car for prob 1 minute not even.

i want to fix this before mucking around with timing, as i dont want internal damage.

cheers
