does the lpg converter have to be vertical or can it be mounted on its side

Yes has to be vertical and there is a requirement on it's vertical relationship to the mixer too, I think the convertor needs to be slightly lower than the mixer if I remember correctly??

Yes they are meant to be horizontal for better coolant flow. having said that mine is fine mounted vertically and has been that way for 9 years.

Yeah I've seen them mounted in all positions and they work ok.
The coolant will flow no matter what position. The liquid gas will flow no matter what position, and the gas gas will be sucked out no matter what position. It does help to mount the converte

thanks ..........i,m doing the same thing...
how far away can the converter be away from the mixer
some say.. if its to far away its hard to start
