This Q has probably been asked numerous times over, but so I don't get ripped off, or rip someone off, what is THE MOST DESIRABLE 10 bolt?
Methinks HQ sedan 3.08 LSD.

On date codes, are they different to engine date codes?
eg: a diff i have lying about has F211 cast into it. Does this break down to 11 JUN 72? If so why did they change the format?

What are they worth?

Probably early HK 3.36:1 with Eaton LSD centre, followed by HK-HG with cone type centre. Then maybe HQ 350 3.08 or 3.36.

Date codes changed to normal ie DDMMYY mid HQ.

sorry to go offtopic a bit, is there a way to date a Trimatic/gearbox? mine has a heap of numbers on a small silver plate and a couple lower to the left.

Hi RdS.

Yes, Tri-Matics can be identified by the 2-letter code on the alloy plate on the LH side of the box. Post those letters & I can tell you what its out of.
