well here we go again,
brainwave bear, changed front lower radiator hose yesterday, only because it had a big split in it,,
anyways, when it was all done, and i was congratulating myself on a job well done,,
to my dismay i noticed a small red wire, going no where??
Bugger!!
after much exploritory inspection, i have come the the conclusion,, that i have absolutely no idea where it goes..?
It is in a 1991 falcon panel van,,4.1 i believe.
I think it is something to do with water temp,, num 1,,,because the temp gauge is not working,
it is red,,has a small black plastic end on it, with a small brass metal clip coming out of the end of it, the metal piece has a small bend in it, and a small hole in the bend..
any help please,
and thankyou already

LOL. Have a look for the temperature sender unit on the block. The wire should plug into the top of it.

I gotta ask you bear. The wire in question is miles away from the radiator hose you were working on. How the hell did you manage to break it? With my somewhat foggy memory I think there was more than one type of connection available on the sender units
