Hello,

First post!

Picking up what I assume is a 72 Belmont 6 cyl ute.

Couple of questions though:

1. What numbers should match with an HQ, between

- the number physically stamped on the chassis rail
- the (vin?) number part of the code on the compliance plate
- the (serial) number part of the long tag

2. Trim I take to be Antique Brown. But I'm not familiar with the paint code? Any ideas? (..? maybe a digit missing where shown)

BODY IDENTIFICATION PLATE
MODEL 80180QR
BODY No 29345-S
TRIM ?900-19A
PAINT 568-?0046

COMPLIANCE PLATE
3/72 CHQ29491S

LONG/SMALL TAG
8018QH721828

It is a 6cyl HQ Belmont ute as you say, built in the Pagewood (Sydney) plant. That early in the HQ run the only numbers that match are the number on the chassis which is reproduced on the ADR tag ie CHQ29491S. Trim 19A is Antique Brown vinyl bench seat.

Hello Byron,

Thanks for taking the time to confirm about which numbers to check for match.

Great to see another place where gents such as yourself and Warren are posting. Only discovered it today. Been reading through the posts on here and there a

Hi Guys.

Yes, TRIM '900' & PAINT '568-0046' is correct for Mercury Red. This was one of the reds used for the PMG fleet.

Not much. I think that is why Leroy put Sandman in quotation.
