Wandering if there is any advantages of using chev 6" rods over 5.7" in a 383, been looking at stroker kits not sure which way to go. Any info would be great.

the longer the rod (increase rod to stroke ratio)the longer the piston stays around TDC and you get better combustion and mechanical advantage. The down-side is that your peak power is produced higher up the rev range
