my trimatic loses drive when i first drive it then when it takes up its fine for the rest of the day does anyone know why it loses drive in this way ? its behind a 202 thanks

Probably needs a rebuild. The seals go hard and it takes a bit of heat to get into them before they seal.

I lose my drive in my trimatic first thing in the morning and it is behind a 253. I am pretty sure it is due to the transmission oil not being hot enough to get into gear.I am not a mechanic but no enough to get out of trouble. My trimatic has been fully

You have nothing to lose except about $12 by adding a bottle of Nulon or similar auto transmission conditioner.
