I have recently purchased new window seal rubbers for me LE. These rubbers are of a different construction to the originals, but same profile. As the glass pushes on these rubbers when closed to make a seal their resistance will not allow the glass to shut properly, thereby not sealing.I have proved it as I replaced the new one with the old shitty one and it sealed perfectly. It has too many tears to be of use. Is there a product on the market which can soften the new glass seals or any suggestions. I have purchased 2 rubbers from rare spares at $50 a pop. They are much firmer than the originals....Thanks

Sometimes when you replace new rubbers you may find they are harder than what you have in place now, however over time they will soften.Rare Spares product RM5 is a non-silicone softener. It should be sprayed on to the rubber and ideally the doors closed
