gday blokes, ive got a trimatic 3speed that i want to put onto a black 202 which then will be going into a hr pano. my questions are what do i need to fit the box under the car? what brackets, cables and anything else will i need to fit as the car is a rolling shell so i have nothing to go by. also too, what engine mounts can i use to fit the black 202 into the pano? all help will be appreciated

The black 202 is the same block as a red 202 so itll fit into the HR existing engine mount points just fine. The trimatic will bolt up to the black 202 just fine too. The gearbox crossmember will need to be modified, the speedo cable will need to be cha
202 and three on the tree, can't get more Aussie than that!!

The 202 will fit straight into an HR, the mounting position is the same. Use HR rubber mounts. For the rear mounts use HR Powerglide stuff, likewise use an HR Powerglide tailshaft. You will have to fit the early (short) water pump, otherwise it will hit t

i picked up the box about two months ago and i am lucky enough it already has the linkage for a b&m well so ive been told by the company who rebuilt it all. while your online dr terry is there any modern dash instruments that fit into the

The good news is that all red/blue/black 6 cylinder engine mounts are the same so the Commodore ones will work as well as HR items.

The bad news is that you will need an HR sump plus a tailshaft and a gearbox cross member from an automatic HR.

lol cheers anyway jim ive got a spare hr sedan here i wanna use as much as possible so which is the way to go? peters, dr terrys or jims? or can i choose either of the three options?

Be also aware that most later trimatics were left hand shift so may not connect standard HR shifters, but if youre using a B&M that wont matter.

cheers hk im trying to picture the box and im sure it is on the left but yeah im glad it wouldnt become a hassle with the b&m.
