A mate just brought a 308 and TH350 for $300
sounds abit suss but just to make sure how can I ID it for him
it might be a trimatic not that it matters just it would be
good to know if it is or not it came out of a commodore but
the eng# starts with QT so it cant original but the trans
might still be commodore I need some words of wisdom

Hey HZ DUDE this might help. A Tri-Matic can have left-hand or right-hand shifter, I think early Kingswoods and WBs are left-hand. TH350 & 400 left-hand only.

The shape of the oil pan is a dead giveaway. (TH350 vs 400 anyway). Cable kickdown right hand side, speedo connection left hand side towards the back. Vacuum modulator (little saucer shaped cannister thingy) right hand side rear.

Trimatic has a removable bellhousing. With TH350/400 it is all part of the case. ID between TH boxes as above.
