My ute has a 9" diff and the bugger is leaking out of the seal where the tail shaft enters. if i undo the housing will the pinon assembly come out easily then i can just replace the seal or is is harder than that?

You would only have to worry about re-setting the bearing pre-load on the pinion bearing upon re-assembly I would imagine?
