Are all VR onwards 304 blocks clearenced for a 355 or is it only selected blocks, also will a 383 crank fit or will it need to be clearenced futher?

Its only the ones that are blank on the sides where the early blocks have 5.0L (about mid VR onwards). They are built to be 350 cubes, 355 is just a 30 thou overbore. Talk to COME about the 377 (383 at +0.030) cube stroker and rod clearancing. With the Ch

needs more clearancing for 3.75" crank and typical chev rods, theres also a real good chance of hitting water, meaning a weld and grout job as well.

If it were me (and it likely will be next time) I would seriously look at a crank set up for HONDA rod
