I am trying to fit a 5lt VN into my Hz wagon and the mounts on the engine are set back. Do I need to fit origanal mounts 253 / 308 to this engine to make them fit. I am out by about 3 inches.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Also use the HQ-WB dipstick and bend the tab a bit so it goes under the VN exhaust manifold bolt. Will be obvious when you get there. When I did this in my HZ I also kept the VN water pump, spacer and viscous fan and just changed to a 6cyl HZ shroud (almo
