68-69 3925647 on main case, muncie was used after Aug 1969 for all AMERICAN GM V8, not aussie though Edited by user Monday, 13 April 2009 2:08:57 AM(UTC)

Are you sure Frank? I thought you were an 81837 Wrecker not a Vega wrecker ? Who would have the three speed numbers stuck in the top of his head as there would be hardly any even in this country ? Maybe we should catch up for Gelati some time and we can

hey hk the main case is 3925654 & the tail housing is a 3 speed tail housing 3873885 which has no mount holes at the rear for the american hurst shifter hope this helps Edited by user Monday, 13 April 2009 5:31:25 PM(UTC)

Hello HKGTS186S,
The numbers quoted so far are close but not correct.
3925656 is the main case number 3860042 is the extension housing number 3920798 is the side cover number
There were two Saginaws used in Holdens. Both are identical externall
