Hi Warren

Can you tell me I have been curios to know what production numbers were on Monaro exports of the HK/T/G models to New Zealand and South Africa ? Also I believe HT/G South African Monaros had some of there own unique factory colours as well as some of the same Australia had what were they and what were the codes ? Were many cars built here and exported or were the majority all sent in kit form and assembled there ? What were the production numbers on the Chev SS also to South Africa?

Many Thanks

The hk/t/g monaros sold in NZ new are all detailed in an ex GMNZ book held by the Holden club of Auckland , and yes lots of monaros have been imported used ex aussy over the years , First NZ made monaro was HJ 4dr.Mark.

Warren is correct with the coupes but not with the sedans. NZ put together their own HK-T-G Kingswoods etc. NZ assembled HK-T-Gs are identifiable by being painted body colour under the hood as opposed to Australian cars which were off black under the hood

By the sedans I ment Monaro sedans.

But it seems they made HJ GTS sedans in NZ.
