Post up the first three digits of the engine number after the VT leaving xs for the rest eg VT325xxx. Also there is a casting date on the nose just behind the timing cover off to the passengers side. Will be something like 18F9. Post that as well, and you

Its a blue motor with that engine number.
Blues kicked off just under V*100000
The box, if its from a VC SL/E, will be a TH350.

Pollution ports in the heads are different on the blues, and this alters the location of the bolts half way down the inlet manifold.

Not sure if the late reds had this type as well - I dont think so, but one of the earlier Holden gurus could tell you

VT107xx with 8L8 casting number will be a red motor out of a VB. Mick is thinking about VT107xxx. It could be a TH pattern block. If the red heads are still on it the inlet manifold should have one centre bolt on both sides, whereas if its had the VC head

Sounds like an exchange engine ie red engine rebuilt and fitted with blue top end. The cruise actuator is a big steel bracket that bolts (from memory) to the back of the LH cylider head and has a big vacuum actuator with a rod that attaches to the side of
