I am building my 186 EFI motor and have put the head on and put the inlet manifold on without a hitch then went to put the extractors that came off the motor back on and they dont line up any more the 2 ends have somehow been pushed inwards it seems,

what can i do? are they repairable or stuffed? it seems a waist to throw them out but i dunno what to do about it,

any suggestions?

bend them back out. If you are handy with an oxy then heat them first and gently pull them out till they fit.

If they copped a bang/squeeze while being stored they cause have easily been squashed. Youll probably be able to bend them by hand & leg but

Are the extractors the correct ones for the head you are using? Blue/black extractors are different to the red motor extractors. Bending them back may always give a problem of leaking at the head face gasket after a while. Fixing that sort of leak is not
