308 offset crank,?any comments?ive not had anything to do with these and would appreciate any advice or knowledge...thanxz in advance.

Typing 308 offset crank into Google search gave 885 results. Heaps of info there to start with, it seems heaps of people have comments there. Have a look and see if that helps. |

are you talking about offset grinding to increase the stroke, they used to use small journal chev rods and get about 330 cu inch, this was befor stroker cranks became readly avaiable?

the width of the chev rod has to be changed aswell and you also use a chev piston but you have to make sure you find the right piston hieght as there are a few diferant types. when you find the right one you dummy asembel the engine find the average deck |

too dear for what it is.
If you want to zing it to 9 grand, leave the stroke as is.
If you want more torque, the cheapest and easiest way is with a COME 3.48 crank, holden rods, acl piston.
Honestly, by the time you grind the standard crank, find

I Agree,after reading about it I dont like the idea of the offset crank,but as they say....different STROKES for different folks!..:)

its was going to cost me around $2000 for everything, crank grind, new rods new pistons, balancing and machining |

Its not that much more for a 350 stroker kit from COME. I think all you need on top of that is the block machine work.
