So as mentioned elsewhere i was car 3 in a four car end-to-end. Nothing could be done, so now its all about fixing it. I've stripped everything forward of the firewall, cause it's all useless bar one inner guard.

I've measured the subframe tips and they're a little different. Half an inch-ish, max inch? I don't even know if it happened in the accident or was always that way. Certainly never had perfect panel gaps. Haha. But was thinking, while it's apart, why not try get it as straight as possible.

Question is, how do i know which is the better starting point? Or is the a redundant question?

Measure from the rear axle to the front axle with the steering straight. Can measure from edge of rim to edge of rim on both sides, this will show any mis alignment of chassis rails

Maybe f*** you. An accident is no laughing matter, and it was completely out of my hands. Not at fault, thats why there was no neg driving charge. And now i have to rebuild a car that ive put a lot of time, effort and money into, because of someone elses mistake.

BREDBO, thanks for helping.

Ah yes, good point. Cheers. I think i was actually given your number as a place for panels? Are you in Toronto? Ive just bought an entire front end off ebay for pocket change. Looks half decent but i think ill run that while i rebuild a proper set of panels.

Thing is, i was slightly crooked when i hit. I was trying to steer away when i saw i couldnt stop in time. Crooked to the point where the whole front still copped the hit, but the right front headlight survived, and the right inner guard was the only panel not bent. Im basically trying to determine if the left rail is in, even in and down, or the right is up, maybe up and out. Or both just out.

Ill start trying to find straight lines and see how i go.

Thanks guys.

Oz, might give you a call sometime soon. Guy who put me onto you is a straight up bloke, been around a long time, and you were the first people he recommended!

lookin at the pics in your other thread your left rail is bent to the left....fairly easy fix on those old girls..best to ring me and i can tell you how...also be aware that if you change the whole subframe you have to cancel your rego and rerogo as you are changing the chassis number and therefore the main identity of the car...greg 02 49594546
