just add a additive like flash lube, or if you have gas heads then dont worry about adding anything at all

I have a device that is attached to the fuel line that the fuel passs through before it gets to the motor and it apparently has a "lead" core or something like that. It is guaranteed for 250,000 klms and no more putting additive in the fuel tank everytime I fill up.
From memory it cost me about $200 fitted?
I have been using BPs 98 octane unleaded for the last few years and find that I am getting considerably more ks out of a tank of fuel than regular unleaded. The extra ks far outway the extra cost per litre.
Cheers, Allan

I always use BP 98 with flashlube just buy a big bottle for home base then the little 50ml squirt bottle of flash lube and refill it from the big one. Easy to carry around in the glove box or console. I have seen some of the self drip feeds and they can look veeery agricultural.

i use any fuel thats cheap and dont use any lead additive and dont really care about the valves etc as it takes around 100,000 k plus to affect them anyway..by that time ive saved enough money from not spending money on additives to get my heads done and go on a european holiday....just a quick edit to add that if a car i own pings then i use a better quality fuel.. going to church makes you no more a christian than standing in a garage makes you a car... www.classicozwreck.com.auEdited by user Friday, 5 June 2009 9:21:21 PM(UTC)

I have just always put low grade unleaded in all my cars. EH, VW etc. No upper cyl lubricant. The EH Limo does have inserts in the head. I use premium in my motorbike. http://www.ehlimo.com.au/ |
