has anyone had any success wih one of those cheap 300$ at racing ones or do i have to go a harrop 800$ one i only have a small budjet or am i wasting mt time thanks

If you are talking about a manifold for an EFI 304 (ie not a VK-VL carbied 304) try one of the Hardiman/Redline manifolds. I used a single plane Redline (Highwinder?) on a standard VP engine and it was a dog - the combo of the big heads and single plane were not great especially in a big heavy HZ 4x4 auto. That was on petrol or LPG. It was a much better street engine with standard red engine with dual plane manifold. So if it were me Id be looking to a Redline dual plane, unless you are building a 350 stroker but even then Id still use a dual plane for a street car.

you are wasting your time with cheap ebay manifolds, Dont buy one...

As far as the redline single goes, i have one on my 350 +0.030 holden engine, it runs 11.3 in a 1560kg car, and i can happily sit in traffic, or lope along at 1800rpm.

0 to 60mph in under 4 seconds so it cant be too bad...

On a 304 however id probably look for a decent dual plane manifold and 600cfm holley unless you are looking for performance at the expense of driveability.

yep, they do.

although id wager the torquepower dual is probably better.

You always get what you pay for. People are probably guilty of thinking a manifold is a simple casting and that a cheap one would work fine, but its not the case if you want it to work to its potential.

Like previously posted, a dual plane will be a much better option in a street motor. Redline are very reputable, as are Torquepower.
