Can anyone confirm that the wheel brace in the ebay link below is the original type and whether or not there was a difference between GTS wheel braces and jacks compared to kingswoods?

This is the only photo i can find with the tools in the foam holder and the wheel brace appears to be different.

Any ideas?

Firstly the ebay one has the wrong jack ratchet handle (it looks like its UC), the ozmuscle has the correct one, as all one owner HQs Ive seen have the steel type, as for the wheel brace the ebay onelooks to bent, as they are not very strong & bend easly when trying to undo ratcheted up nuts ( I have bent a couple over the years) or from a early torry with 13" rims, also the ebay item is missing the spacer for the GTS rim, cars fitted with gts rims had a short length of gal tube to allow you to tighten up the retaining bolt, as shown in the HQ shop manual.
also being Ebay it could be a collection of crap from a scrap yard & sold as "Straight out of a barn find HQ 350" dont trust ebay descriptions.

the retaining bolt hasnt got the spacer cause it is not for a gts rim, the gts rim retainer bolts were longer and had the spacer (as decribed above) this retainer bolt is for a standard rim

the handle is wrong, HQ has pressed metel type

Thanks for the info guys, would never consider buying what was being sold, just using it as a reference for what i have lying around at home as of the 7 HQs Ive owned have all been different! Found this spare wheel retainer bolt, . Is this the spacer you guys are talking about? The retainer bolt is 21.5cm long and Im assuming it mounts through where the wheel cap goes so its too short.

Thanks Al, I saw Chris on the weekend but forgot to check out his kit as he had his HQ with him too. I have emailed Andy a few times about various things so might be time for another one. Its so hard trying to sort out whats what a lot of the time as stuff has rather been changed or missing and Ill never trust an ebay seller unless Im 100% sure it is what they say it is.
