Are the brakes on a HK-T-G 10 bolt the same as the brakes on a HQ 10 bolt ?

Most of the parts are different. A lot of the smaller hardware is the same.

The wheel bearing on the HK/T/G is larger in outside diameter, therefore making the hole in the backing plate larger. The backing plate also has a bigger offset.

Drums are different in bolt pattern & offset.

Most HK/T/G with a 10-bolt would have had front disc brakes, meaning that the rear cylinders are smaller & the brake shoes are different in profile. HK/T/G with front drums will have the same rear shoes as all HQ-WB.

To my knowledge all the rear brake stuff is interchangeable between Banjo & 10-bolt in HK/T/G, with the exception of the front drum & disc versions.

The 3mm spacers were added to the rear of GTS327 & GTS350.
AFIAK it was for increased clearance between their wider D70H14 tyres & the tramp rods.

GTR XU1s also had these spacers.
