Hi guys,

Love the look of the new site.

I've had the intermittant wiper switch and relay set-up installed in my ute for ages now, but haven't got around to making it work yet. the problem I've got is after plugging everything in, as soon as I turn it on with the wipers working it blows a fuse. I can't see anything obvious.

This also happened in my other WB ute I owned quite a few years ago, but again, never got around to fixing. Gee I'm lazy.

Anyone got any tips?

Thanks, Steve.

I really don't know the specific problem but I would presume there is a short somewhere.
As a trial I would 'un-mount' the switch and relay if they are screwed to any metal surfaces and then try it all out again.
In other words, just let the wiring hold

I have installed a couple of these ofver the years and never had one blow up. Installation should be as follows.

Find white wire to wiper motor and in the line there shall be a plug, unplug nad then plug in the white wires coming from the relay box. Yo

Hey Guys
Yes I had the same problem in my WB Van. Plugged everything in and kept blowing fuses. Turned out the dash wiring loom had the male and female connectors on the white wiper wire around the wrong way.

Didnt have to cut any wires - I just remov

I pulled a totally original 1984 WB Kingswood ute apart a few months ago. It had factory intermitent wipers, and the way the harness was run it must have been put in before anything else. The dash and air ducts had never been removed.
