Hi,
I installed a rubber steering coupling seal on my WB ute about 16 months ago and it ahs perished and fell to pieces. Was this a bad batch that anyone knows of or is this the life expectancy of this part. It is not a daily driver and gets about a 20k run once a month.
is it worth buying another one or not. cheers TC

I gather the bit he is talking about is the dust boot les. Not the coupling that attatches the intermediate shaft to the steering box. So power or no power steer it shouldnt matter? The dust boot covers the knuckle joint in the intermediate shaft. Sorry TC hope I have that correct and have helped.

Hi Guys,

sorry for the confusion. I should have said boot and not seal. It is the one that covers the knuckle joint between the 2 shafts.
I am back at work for the next 6 days but will endevour to remove it and return it to you for inspection when i get the 1st chance to do so. Cheers TC
