found transmission fluid in jelly form stuck in trans filter in my powerglide.is this normal or something more sinister.actually looks like strawberry jam blobs stuck in filter

If you mix a mineral engine oil with a synthetic engine oil, youll get that. Im not sure about tranny oils though?
Is there any silicone anywhere on the trans?

drain it and flush an start again,check every now and then,also use the same fluid everytime,ps dont know what caused it but flushing should fix it.

m daughters brakes went the same, i suspect it is water. the flakes of metal dont sound too good though. the flakes are probably from aluminium the shavinghs may be bearings.
