Hi,i got a open centre 10bolt salisbury diff in a HZ tonner. Was woundering if anyone can give me some pointers on a good welded centre.

I have a fair idea,i was going to remove the centre and remove crown wheel. Then weld the spider gears together and then weld a M12 or bigger nut into the centre of all the gears weld that all in.Then with 2 small pieces of 2/3mm flat weld that over the top of the nut either side.

Then clean the leftover weld. Will also degrease it before welding the centre....

Can it be done better????cheers

Just try to consider the balance of it when youre filling it with weld, and know that youll end up snapping axles. Still, lotta fun!
