Do HQ's use exactly the same Monaro script badges on the front guards as the hj hx hx Monaro badges?

What are the RareSpares repro ones like . . any good?

Thanks

In HQ red for GTS, Black for Monaro, in HJ and HX they have the red ones as they are all GTS. (LS have no paint fill)

Black PN 2814805
Red PN 9930243

Both used in HQ.

So red on Monaro and black on GTS?

28 part numbers are intro in 71, 99 in 72, so by your logic cloudy GTS will have Monaro badge from 71 and Monaro coupe gets Monaro badge in 72 or later. I thought it was the other way.

Personally I would not trust a brochure, as most is drawn. (check 72 brochure with all the headrests drawn on)

My 4 door 1974 HJ GTS has black script monaro on the front guards. But it was apparently repainted in 98 with HX blackouts, so can't guarantee they are original.

Warren, both the red & the black badges are listed in the late HQ parts book as fitting the GTS, maybe the 9930243 red badge is for the 1973 upgrade.

Both my current HJ and my ealrier HX had the red script (and red GTS badges for the front).

I dunno so much about the HJ but i know the HX was absolutely ridgy didge when i got it (second owner).

Just to confuse things.....

Terry,

71 GTS do not have a Monaro badge on them, only the Monaro coupe and LS have Monaro badges in 71. In 73 the GTS receives Monaro badge on front guard and the 350 designation removed from the GTS 350 front guard.

The Monaro Bible says the badges on GTS are red so I would believe that before any parts catalogue or any self proclaimed guru. All correct cars I have seen have red badges on them also. Red is the answer here.
