Hi all. I need to remove a rusty parcel shelf from my monaro. (Have a good one from a HG sedan). Do you need to brace between the rear pillars (or anywhere else for that matter) when you cut the old one out. I don't want anything to move and not line up when the new one is put in. Is there any "trick" or tips (other than new parcel shelf in exact same spot as original) to ensure the new boot hinges are in the exact same spot as the originals?

They are actually not the same . The rear upper shelf panel are different , and the inner part where the circles are are different on the ends . A Kinga one is really only good for fixing parts of it or where big speakers holes have been . Waddingtons make a whole new one for $650 or there abouts i believe . Much better to go that way .

Are you saying the sedan one won't fit? Either way when you remove the old one do you need to brace anything? Thanks.
