Just a few Qs, while painting acrylic and its cold what is the recommended mix with thinners? Thicker or thinner? Should I paint the front subframe with black enamel or is acrylic sufficient to withstand a bit of road crap?
Cheers

Don't paint when it is cold unless you have heat lamps or the paint will blush... (go milky) I made that mistake many many years ago re-painting my Charger red, went down to the shed the next morning to remove the masking only to find the car was almost white...

Rightoh, I've got a pair of 500W lamps that should do the trick, its just going to be the firewall and subframe that I do anyway. Anyone have ideas on the paint to use for the frame?

Enamel is far easier to get a nice shine straight off the gun which is much easier to deal with than buffing a chassis. Then again if you are painting flat or satin black then acrylic gets the advantage because it dries much quicker.

Vandals and graffiti "artists" do everyone a favour and target parking meters and fixed speed cameras only.
