Hi krustee.

VZ V6 engine computers are generally not prone to sh**ting themselves.

Many mechanics who can't diagnose electrical problems often try to repair cars by 'throwing' parts at the problem at your expense. I find that it's best to find out what the problem is before spending big $$$ on parts that aren't necessary & don't fix the issue.

Your problem it probably wiring related. The VZ coil overs each have their own igniter module on board, so each coil requires their own +ve & -ve supply. Because the coils are wired in 2 sets of 3, my guess is that a common earth or +ve supply is missing. Get somebody who knows how to measures voltages etc. to have a good look. If you have access to a factory circuit diagram, it's even easier. Could be a loose earth bolt !!

Thanks for the info. I have also been advised that it may be fuel related due to bad E10 fuel. Do you have an actual workshop and are you able to look at the problem. I live at Parkes but the car is in Sydney at the moment. My phone number is 0417 231018 or my email is [email protected]. I can be contacted until 3.00am. Thanks, Joe.

Check the fuses in the under bonett fuse box, there is a fuse for odd and even cylinders.
