This was discussed with Leo at the Monaro point score, he is not aware of that badge being used on any other chev vehicle.

My theory would be that there were a number of patterns made and one was wrong. We had the same thing happen for a recet opening, a medalian was made to give to the officials and it had an error on it.

Just spoke with my work collegue from SA, he said this would be quite normal as both are accepted spellings in South Africa.

Thanks all for looking into this. I really only asked it out of interest. My hunch (and that's all it is) remains that one or other of those badges would have been original to the car, not one of each. It is instructive however that Garry in South Africa has Litre on both his badges on a very original car.

I haven't been able to find any photos on the net which are clear enough to see the badges on other SSs, including the yellow one sold thru Aussie Muscle Car Sales.

I am pretty sure that a person on the Oldholden forum going by the name of 'Afreakin Sam' imported this particular car that I photographed in Warwick as there are photos of a very similar if not identical car on his 'shed' on there. Maybe someone on here who is a member of Oldholden (I'm not otherwise I would do it)and is interested could PM him and ask some questions.

Warren I was only joshing with the jibe about only one question on notice every 10 minutes. Thanks for all the info you put up on here and all you will no doubt put up in future.

Des,

Yes it is the same car as teh guy on old holden, he is also a member of the QLD Monaro club.

We discussed the badge on his car with Leo at the last run.

I liked you jibe about the 10 minutes, I use it all the time when I am very busy, but do try to answer all questions. Wish Warwick went for longer so we could all chew the fat a bit more.
