i have a HJ Statesman and the fuel tank has alot of crud in it. just asking if they are the same as a J X Z sedan petrol tank.

I'm pretty sure they are, but make sure of the build date. Early HJ have HQ style vented tanks, later are a sealed tank for the carbon canister.

thanks for the reply guys. so i may be on the look out for a usable tank soon.as i get about 20ks out of this one before the fuel filter blocks up. and its been acid bathed buy some fuel tank repair guy that the local mechanic took it to.

a sedan one will fit... but coz the neck is shorter its a pain to get a large hand in to take the fuel cap off..
