I believe HG monaro's (81837) had 4 leaf springs where all others had 6 leaf springs so there will be some difference to the spacer gaps.
You possible have a space there now subtract the difference to the track rod mount.

Have just looked at my HK 81837 and also consulted the HK Parts manual. A couple of points .......
1. HK 81837's have springs comprising 4 leafs

2. My car has qty 1 spacer of 0.059" on each side of each spring between the diff bracket and what you are calling the sandwich plate.

3. The HK Parts catalogue lists two variants for these spacers for 37 models (coupes), either 2 of the 0.059" per spring or 2-4 of the 0.180" ofthe .180 per spring. My car has the former variant.

4. There is 1 only spacer per spring, 0.250" thick, between the Radius Rod Bracket and the Sandwhich Plate. I'm going by the book with this ne, haven't pulled the spacers out to measure them.

Hope this helps, Bob

Just jacked the car up and had a look. There are in fact 2 of the .25" spacers between the Radius Rod Bracket and the Sandwich Plate, yet the Parts Book says only 2 (per car). Here's a photo to show the setup in mine. That's a 1/4" drill you can see to the left of the Radius Rod Bracket. I put it there just to get some sort of perspective on the distance.
