Hi guys, a bloke at work here has some questions about the XA GT coupe.
were wheel arch moulding standard or and option?
what are a set of factory period hustlers worth in fair condition?
what is the CFM of the Carter thermoquad on it? and what numbers should it carry.?

I had one along time ago..so we'll see how my memory goes. 1..they were optional. 2.lots to the right buyer if in original cond and genuine.. 3..about 750cfm...but Im sure the holley 780 vac was used on the xa 351 4v(mine was) |

1. Wheel arch moulds were standard issue on all XA GTs. Only the one production Phase 4 car had them removed due to clearance issues on the Factory issued bathurst globe wheels 2. Option 52 wheels are the factory hustler wheels. these range from $200 unrestored to around $400-$500 restored on ebay. I have sold three stes of these wheels in the last year and have a set on my ZF 351 fairlane. They were 14x6 and made ROH Australia. For an XA coupe he needs top ensure that they are small hub wheels (62mm). Around mid 1975 these changed to large hub centres (67mm) 3. Standard issue carb on non RPO 83 XA GT would be an Autolite 4300 4 barrel 600cfm. (RPO83 would be a 780 cfm Holley with manual choke) Edited by user Tuesday, 8 February 2011 7:12:02 AM(UTC)

i beleive the carters were xc? to xe i also beleive they were 780cfm on all aussie models
i THINK you can get them from 600-1000cfm in the states
there should be a part number on the left rear corner of the base plate

Hi, if he's after new wheel arch moulds,they are available from - HARRISONS EARLY HOLDEN & FORD SPARES,as well as many other new panels & parts.Xa new gt front guards copied off our new genuine guards will be arriving soon.(07)55490351.cheers, Paul.
