I have read in a few places that a new rear main seal should be glued into place with head bolt glue to help stop leaks. Is this true?
The one I took out was neoprene and didn't appear to be glued and did leak slightly.

I would be inclined to use non hardening gasket goo, and essential to keep it away from the sealing lips.
I never had leakage troubles with my 149 tho.
