How do I register my imported Chev SS in WA?

Rank: Member Reputation: Groups: Registered Joined: 8/09/2010(UTC) Posts: 10		My mint condition '72 Chev SS arrived from South Africa on Monday. I drove it from Fremantle to Bunbury using a Temporary Movement Permit. It runs and drives great. There appears, and feels, as if there's nothing I need to do to it. Now I need to get it registered here in WA. Who can help? Does it need an Engineers report or can I just put it over the pits? Who is recommended to do either one of these? (I am prepared to take it to Perth again - no problem!) Is there a "one stop specialist" I can take it to who can do everything for me to get all documentation needed for 1st registration? All advice appreciated.

It seems I may have to get new seat belts for the front 'cos I only have lap belts that are SABS approved. I may need 3 point belts with AS marking? I also need to get rear belts and not sure yet if only lap belts will do? Probably also need a new windscreen because mine does not have an AS approval marking on it whereas all the other glass on the car does.(Pity because my screen is like new - the car has only done a genuine 63000km! Let the games begin...
