Does a M20 gearbox bolt straight into a LC six cylinder or do you need mods?I mean a straight swap for the opel gearbox, Thanks

Opel is an M20 box! I assume you mean Aussie 4spd M20 (3 x different ratios in these too). Just copy an LJ fitment of an aussie 4spd: bellhousing, clutch arrangement, crossmember, tailshaft, speedo cable etc. |

As Byron has said, we assume you mean an Aussie M20 not another Opel M20, but either way, no problems, because both were fitted to LC & LJ from the factory.
You will need the tailshaft, crossmember, speedo cable, bellhousing & clutch from either a 3-speed column shift manual (M15) from any LC or LJ 6-cyl or Aussie 4-speed from a late LC or any lJ. Clutch linkage is the same & will bolt-up to the new bellhousing.

If the car is a 6 cylinder without an Opel box, the crossmember, tailshaft and speedo cable will be those fitted to the car already.
If 3 speed, just remove the 3 speed box, cut hole in floor and insert aussie 4 speed. If auto, will need the clutch pedal and linkages, short out neutral safety.
Will need to re route green reversing wires from column to centre console if column auto or 3 speed.
Console is available from rares.

Warren, the way I read his question, he currently has an Opel box. He typed it with a lower case O (opel, but should be Opel).

Thanks for the replies, The vehicle (LC)currently has a Opel gearbox in it and was thinking of putting in the Ausse 4 box. So are the tailshaft & crossmember required to fit the Aus 4 speed, different than the one already in the car?
