Hi Guys. I need to change from linkages to a cable operated throttle if i'm going to run my new Edelbrock manifold as the carb is offset meaning that the linkages will be at the wrong angle. Has anyone converted a ZD or XY to cable and what set up did you adapt. I haven't really had a chance to go to the wreckers and have a fossick with the tape measure but I did have a half arsed idea that an EA falcon pedal/cable assembly might work. Any suggestions?

Hi Chris. If you've already carried out this conversion using XE parts i think it would be a logical choice for me to follow the same path rather than trying to re-invent the wheel. Thanks for your input.

Ther is no hole for the cable to go through the firewall. but there is a dimple there where you have to drill the hole - same goes for two of the pedal assy mounting scr

I have a whole stack of pics of my ZC in various stages of conversion and upgrade here: http://www.ftw.com.au/cp...ex.php?cat=53&Itemid=47
I'll have to get some detail shots of the pedal install for you - I'm not sure there are any in that lot -- |

OK 6pak, detail pics sent to your email.
The part you want is definetly XD XE and XF have a much smaller pedal assembly that simply won't work with the earlier model car - the cable would appear in the wheel arch instead of the engine bay...
