I have recently found this HG ute on Trademe, http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Holden/auction-371933819.htm

and I noticed that the engine bay and firewall has been painted body colour, which wasnt the case with Australian HK-T-G's.

Is this common?

I've seen many pics of NZ built (& Sth African built) HK/T/Gs with body coloured engine bays. Enough to suggest that is the way their assembly plants do it.

I also have a Sth African HR brochure & it shows a car with both a body coloured engine bay & boot.
