picked up a VU prefix motor with date casting 22 April 1993..
there was talk on here that the mid 1993 or mid VR , i can't remember, change to the block to fit a 355 stroker crank standard.
my question is but have the experts figured out when this change happened? is there a cut off number yet? eg VU 60xxx? |

I'd have to check my lists on the laptop at home, but my foggy memory is somewhere around VU630xxx. |

Adam
Just look at the sides. If it has 5.0L it isn't clearanced. If it is blank (just a square pad) it is one of the later style to suit both 304 and 350ci engines. |
