hi all, can anyone help my fuzzy brain?
hq one tonne ute
model, Hq 80160 ???
body, 8873-A
trim, 1861-32A
paint, 568-15351
eng, L20
box, m22
just under the wiper cowl it has a number stamped into body, 51921A
can anyone tell me if this matches the tags? should it? i havent found chassis number yet. it has a 308, can i register this with id tags being a six? i think..
the tag on other side reads.. 8M601CL23889910

80160 = 6-cyl Cab-Chassis (One-Tonner) (It is not a Ute !!)
8873-A = 8873rd body out of Adelaide
1861 = Willow paint (Green ??)
32A = Red vinyl interior
568-15351 = Dulux shade number for Willow
L20 = 202 6-cyl engine
M22 = Wide ratio 4-sp manual
VIN tag
8 = Holden
M = Belmont or commercial
60 = Cab-Chassis (One-Tonner)
1 = Wrongly stamped L = 202 6-cyl engine
C = 1973 model year (Built between 1/9/72 & 30/8/73)
L2 = Adelaide plant
388991 = Sequential production serial number
0 = Should be Q (For HQ)
Compliance plate
4/73 = Compliance date
DHQ26783A = Chassis number (This number should also appear on the chassis rail next to the steering box)
D = 4th update of ADRs
HQ = HQ series
26783A Serial number out of Adelaide

That is an Elizabeth body number. They have no correlation to the numbers on the vehicle ID plates. |

ok doc, ta, just found chassis number, DHQ84797S
this does not match the id tags does it? will that cause me issues with reg? and what do these numbers tell you? thankyou by the way..
