On the Vr auto radiator on the passenger side about 3" down the side there is a water pipe/rubber pipe coming off,esume it is to the oil cooler or transmission.
mine has sprung a leak, it is not coming from the pipe or rubber hose, it is coming from the joint whre the fitting goes into the radiator.
The fitting is a 19mm or so nut, does it actually screw in so a gasket can be fitted or is it a soldered fitting?

the tanks are plastic, there is brass fittings in the plastic with barbs that screw in for the lines
the radiators are very cheap new, i got 1 for $89 with free delivery from ebay (if yours is stuffed)

These aftermarket radiators vary in quality considerably. Buy a known brand. Remember you only get what you pay for. I've seen a few panel shops use these cheapies & come back with tank seam leaks in less than a month. Dr Terry |

yeah i agree terry, there damn cheap so i wasn't expecting much, been in the car for 3 months now, i'll guess i'll see how summer goes?
BTW, the brand of these radiators is nadrad

john there is a change in the fittings during VR / VS radiators for the auto cooler lines. I can't remember at the moment. i think VS series 2 up had the improved design....have a look, you will see what i mean...make sure its same for same... |

That's correct, VS series 2 onwards have the threaded flare fitting, where the old style just use a hose clamp. Dr Terry |
