Hey guys after my kingswood is sprayed i would like to replace all the glass. Front screen back screen, door windows, 1/4 windows.

I was just wondering, what actually holds the windows into the metal holder at the base of the window. It looks like some sort of rubber or something. Can you replace these things?

Can all the glass be replaced and if so where might i get it?

I am certain windscreens obrien can do the front and back. Do they come with some form of garauntee that they wont leak or something just in case for some reason it isnt done right the first time?

Has anyone done this before and if so what is the ballpark figure per piece of glass?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Travis.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to give you a heads up, albeit belated...by a year.
Vehglass has really grown in the last nine months and any orders placed can usually be dealt with on the day, if not within the week!
Anyone looking for early Holden or Ford glass come straight to the only manufacturers in the country :D

Hi Pacman
It is a rubber that holds the door windows in the channel. Tried rare spares about 2 months ago and its one of the only rubbers they don't supply. These rubbers dry out over the years and the window can slip out when winding window down, as happened to mine. I took it out and soaked in kerosene for 2 days which made it swell up and soften giving better grip on the glass. I put back in with a smear of silicone and it worked great since.

Clark Rubber has lots of Auto rubber profiles, give them a look for your lift channel rubbers.
