VN with auto to T5 manual conversion for track

Does any one have a T5 with pedal box for sale and or information on what is needed to install. Also does anyone know if all V8 T5 gearbox from this eara have the same gear ratio (example, ute ,sedan, wagon) any information on this would be apreciated. Cheers,Finchy.

VN-VS share the same pedal box across all V6 & V8, with the exception of the VS2 onwards V6, and VS3 onwards V8s, that went to a hydraulic setup (and a Getrag 'box).
The pedal box is a real pain to install - you need remove quite a lot of crap on the driver's side of the dash, and drop the column a bit to gain enough access. I recommend pulling the pin out of the clutch pedal, installing the box, then refitting the pedal once the box is in place.
The V8 gearbox kept the same ratios from VN-VS2, irrespective of vehicle application or body style. The V8 has different ratios to the V6 - a significantly shorter 1st gear is a pain in a V8, and the V6 box won't fit the V8 without changing the input shaft. |

Thanks Commodorenut for the information, i have found a T5 box with bellhousing, tailshaft and pedal box, but it is out of a ute, which is why i was asking about the ratios, as i know they were diferent in the vb vc vh eara, as for the fitting of the pedal box, that information is invaluable, as i did not know how hard it would be, i am hoping that the fact that i will be stripping the car out to be a track car will be of a big help, once again thanks for the info.
