Hi me and my partner own a EK the body number is EK225AUT-9-A we know the A is for adelaide, aut is auto but does the 9 mean its the 9th car made?

You are basically correct.
EK = EK series 225 = Special sedan AUT = Auto Trans (Hydra-Matic) 9 = 9th EK225 auto built at that plant A = Adelaide (Woodville in those days)
Hydra-Matic EKs had many different methods of ID on their body plate. Some had AUT (as above), some had H or A after the 225. Sydney cars usually had PO 478A (or B, C or D depending on body type) lower down on the plate.
You have a very early EK there.

Does this make the car more valuable? We have no intentions of selling it yet though just curious. Thanks for the response.

If it was a no. 1 in pristine condition it might be worth more $$, but a no. 9 is really just a good conversation piece. The car's value really depends on its condition or rarity, or a combination of both.
