Wired up my 355 and it was running for a bit then i may of knocked or touched something i shouldn't have and now when you go to start it, it fires and starts but as soon as you let go of the key and it springs back it just dies. I think it is not getting power to the coil after letting go of the key.

Ideas?

Busted resistance wire in the harness, crook ignition switch in the run circuit or burnt out ballast resistor on the coil. All depending upon the setup of the coil.

Had a similar thing happen on a VY. Turns out the pin on the end of the ignition barrel had broken off. If it is the same style ignition switch as the VY you will find Yes that turning the key engages the starter but, it is also supposed to turn the ignition on. IF this is the case you are up for another key with the new barrel. I hope for your sake it is not this because it may cost $150 or more. Any reputable auto locksmith will be able to tell you whats going on with it though.....Jack
